Alice stares wistfully from the window as she speaks. Tommy listens enrapt.
ALICE: "Your world is a beautiful, living realm of life and light."
Panel B
Continue scene.
ALICE: "And this world is like a mirror, capturing that light and holding it fast for just a moment before releasing it again, back to your world."
Panel C
Continue scene.
ALICE: "Actually, this place is more like the silver backing beneath the glass, I guess."
Panel D
Continue scene. Alice turns a sad face towards Tommy. She seems completely and utterly drained of energy or emotion.
ALICE: "And our world - Boogy and mine -"
Panel E
Continue scene. A tear wells up and trickles down from Alice's eye as she speaks.
ALICE: "Our world is behind the mirror. Where the light never reaches."
Panel F
Continue scene. Tommy looks like he might cry as well.
TOMMY: "Never-ever?"
ALICE: "Not ever-ever."
