Alice stands from the table, picking up her bag. Tommy stands with her.
ALICE: "There's something you need to understand."
Panel B
Alice leads Tommy to a massive bay window with a window bench. The day outside seems bright and clear.
ALICE: "This is not your world, as I'm sure you've guessed."
Panel C
Alice and Tommy sit down on the window bench together, facing each other.
ALICE: "But it's not our world, either."
Panel D
Alice pushes open the window, revealing a view of the Nacre Expanse outside. Same as before, it is a largely beautiful landscape of iridescent colors and fantastic forms. But the beauty is marred by craters and pits, black spires and dark cracks across the surface of the land. To one side, there is something that might be a city, far away, with clouds of black smoke rising into the air above it.
ALICE: "This place is... a shared reality. Between your people and ours."
