Tommy dashes across the room to the hallway door, eyes wide with fright.
Panel B
Tommy's head pokes out of his bedroom door into an empty hallway.
Panel C
Tommy races down the hallway to the door at the end of the hall. There is light bleeding out from the edges of the doorway, a sign that his parents are awake.
Panel D
Tommy rushes for the door, arms outstretched. We hear a voice from within the room,
MOMMY: "You think this is easy for me?"
Panel E
Tommy, almost to the door, still afraid. Another voice from his parents' room,
DADDY: "This isn't the life I wanted, either."
Panel F
Tommy, at the door, hand on the knob but frozen with shock at the sound of his parents' arguing.
MOMMY: "Well it's your own fault, Paul!"
