Panel A

Tommy sits up in bed. Looks at the clock, 1:12am in bright green digital glow. The teddy bear is watching over him again, but seems somehow diminished, conveys a sense of shame.


Panel B

Same scene. Tommy whispers,

TOMMY: "Mommy?"


Panel C

Same scene. Tommy whispers,

TOMMY: "Daddy?"


Panel D

Tommy throws back his blanket, scoots to the edge of the bed.

Tommy slowly lowers his foot to the floor, very aware of the cavernous black depths beneath his bed

Same view of Tommy's floor. Tommy's bare foot rests solidly on the carpet beside his bed.
